Every photograph on visitmeteora.city is downloaded from Wikimedia Commons, resized locally and credited below. Licences are CC0, public domain, CC BY or CC BY-SA only — never fair-use screenshots or unlicensed social posts. Authors, licence names and file-page links are written by tools/fetch_assets.py içine assets/data/credits.json; this table is generated, not hand-typed.

Hero and OG crops come from the same files listed here (August 2026 fetch). If you reuse an image, follow the licence on the Commons file page — most CC BY-SA photos require attribution and share-alike. The brand mark in the header is original SVG, not a Commons work.

Questions about a credit line: the Commons file page is the source of truth. We do not sell prints of these photographs. The site is an independent guide and is not affiliated with the Municipality of Meteora or the monastic communities.
