Who is responsible for this site
The publisher of visitmeteora.city is the independent editorial project behind Visit Meteora. For privacy requests use hello@visitmeteora.city. This policy covers the website only, not third-party sites we link to (operators, maps, booking partners).
We are not the Municipality of Meteora. Official bodies have their own privacy notices.
What we collect and why
If you email us, we process the address and message to answer you. We do not run a user account system. We do not sell lists of readers.
Server logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, time) exist for security and debugging on the host. They are not used for advertising profiles by us. Affiliate booking partners receive only the click you make on a marked partner link — their policies apply after you leave visitmeteora.city.
Cookies, analytics and ads
Plausible analytics, when enabled, is cookieless and counts visits without identifying you. Google Analytics 4, when enabled, uses Google cookies under Google’s terms. Google AdSense, when the site is approved to show ads, uses cookies to serve and measure ads. You can control advertising cookies in your browser and via Google’s ad settings.
Essential cookies, if any, keep the site working (for example language preference). Blocking all cookies may break the language switcher in some browsers. Maps on the map page load OpenStreetMap tiles; that request goes to OSM’s infrastructure under OSM’s policy.
Your rights and how to contact us
If you are in the EEA or UK you can ask what personal data we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete an email thread we stored to answer you. Write to hello@visitmeteora.city. We will not ask you to create an account to exercise that.
We do not sell personal data. Legal requests (if a court or regulator requires a log) are handled as narrowly as the request allows. Related pages: about and contact.
Privacy questions
Does this site use cookies?
Analytics and ads, when switched on, may set cookies (GA4, AdSense). Plausible does not. You can block third-party cookies in the browser. The site’s own pages do not require an account cookie to read the guides.
Do you sell personal data?
No. We do not sell email addresses or browsing lists. Advertising networks, when ads are live, process data under their own policies after they load on the page.
How do I delete data you hold about me?
Email hello@visitmeteora.city from the same address you used, name the thread, and ask for deletion. Server logs rotate on the host’s schedule and are not a mailing list.
